eBioAtlas is a partnership programme between IUCN and NatureMetrics, that aims to create an open source global atlas of life in the world’s river basins and wetlands using cutting-edge eDNA technology. The objective of the programme is to have comprehensive data of freshwater species in each location. Data collected will be contributed by local stakeholders and citizen scientists to fill in critical knowledge gaps to support conservation efforts and inform global policy to reverse the loss of biodiversity. FFI is the first implementing partner, contributing to data through eDNA testing in Liberia and Guinea, with efforts of expanding to other countries in Africa
