Opportunity to participate in study on what counts as evidence in conservation

Please help us by participating in a MSc research project on what you consider to be 'evidence' in your work in conservation.

Hi everyone,

Mahaut, a Master's student at Imperial College London, is doing a research project and really wants to hear from you about what you consider to be 'evidence' in your work in conservation. See below for an invite to the study! It would be a massive help if you can participate and/or share to others in your networks/organisations.

Project Title: What is ‘evidence’ in conservation? A comparison between ‘evidence-based’ conservation definitions in literature and in practice in the UK.

We are looking to speak with UK-based conservation practitioners as part of an MSc research project at Imperial College London. The study explores how practitioners define and use "evidence" in their work, aiming to understand how different types of evidence shape decision-making on the ground.

We are conducting 45–60 minute online interviews to hear directly from those working in conservation roles. All data will be anonymised. Insights will help identify gaps between research and practice, and support more effective integration of evidence-based approaches in the field.

Here is the Participant Information Sheet with more details

If you or someone you know might be interested in taking part, please get in touch with Mahaut Bastard at mahaut.bastard24@imperial.ac.uk. Feel free to forward this on and share amongst your networks too.
