Co-Creating Collective Impact Across the Conservation Technology Ecosystem
Dear WILDLABS Community,
I am proposing the creation of a new WILDLABS group focused on building collaborative infrastructure across the conservation technology sector. The group would serve as a systems-design lab for co-creating PACIMs: Projects, Assignments, Campaigns, Initiatives, Movements, and Systems.
This group is intended to help break down silos between conservation technologists, grassroots innovators, funders, scientists, and systems thinkers—connecting changemakers with ideas to changemakers with resources.
Purpose
To design, test, and launch scalable, fundable, and regenerative PACIMs that:
- Translate insights into actionable field-ready initiatives
- Match ideas with technical, financial, and institutional support
- Connect local problem-solvers with global collaborators
- Strengthen collective intelligence in the conservation tech ecosystem
Who This Group Is For
- Conservation technologists and ecopreneurs seeking field deployment
- Funders and philanthropic advisors looking for structured opportunities
- Systems thinkers, policy advocates, and governance innovators
- Youth leaders, community builders, and data scientists
- Anyone interested in building interconnected systems of change
Group Goals
In the first year, we propose to:
- Co-develop and publish at least 10 PACIMs
- Host quarterly co-creation and matchmaking sessions
- Develop and share an open-access PACIM toolkit and blueprint library
- Foster cross-group collaboration with other WILDLABS communities
Engagement Concepts
- Co-design labs for PACIM development and refinement
- Monthly matchmaking threads for needs and solutions
- Workshops using visual and systems-mapping tools
- Collaborative fundraising and capacity-building roundtables
- Rotating themes focused on ecosystems, policy, finance, and grassroots innovation
We aim to make this a space for structured creativity, resource alignment, and practical collaboration that leads to measurable outcomes.
If you would be interested in participating in or co-leading this group, please comment below or react to this post. I am especially keen to hear from those who have experience in systems design, coalition building, or community-led conservation initiatives.
Once interest is confirmed, we will proceed with a formal application to the WILDLABS 2025–2026 Group Leadership Programme.
Humbly,
Chad

Sounds like a great idea, but also very complex. What does a PACIM look like? Do you have examples?
