Are you looking to make better use of data in your work? Nature FIRST* is organising a free hands-on workshopinar exploring how technology, data, and collaboration can enhance conservation efforts. No prior data experience is needed—just curiosity and a drive to make a bigger impact.

In this interactive session, you’ll gain insights and inspiration on how data can drive smarter conservation strategies. We’ll discuss:

  • The Elephant in the Room: What’s your biggest data challenge? We will address common hurdles in conservation data use.
  • Maturity Level Assessment: How data-driven is your organisation? Identify where you stand and where you can grow.
  • Prediction Radars: Levels of data sophistication and how organisations use predictive insights to anticipate conservation threats and take proactive action.
  • Monitoring Ecosystems – Learn how satellite-image-derived indexes, such as NDVI and NDMI, can support habitat mapping and ecosystem monitoring.
  • Make, Buy or Co-Create?: Do you have new functions or tools in mind? Learn how to strategically decide whether to develop solutions in-house, purchase existing tools, or collaborate with others—valuable insight for proposal writing and project planning.

This session will focus on real-world applications of data tools and services developed in Nature FIRST, helping you navigate the possibilities of working with data more effectively in your conservation work.

*Nature First is an EU funded project developing preventive capabilities for nature conservation by combining ecology sciences and environmental forensics with environmental observations.
