The Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) monitors the status and trend of biodiversity and human footprint in Alberta. We make all our biological and geospatial freely available for download on our website, abmi.ca.
Biological data includes species and habitat data from monitoring sites across the entire province. Eight taxonomic groups are covered, from invertebrates to mammals.
Geospatial data includes wall-to-wall human footprint coverage for the province of Alberta, a provincial wetland inventory, lidar data for portions of the province, soil information, and orthophotos.
Data is available to explore on our Mapping Portal and Biodiversity Browser. Limited summaries for areas of interest are available on our ORB tool.
